Class Description
Please note: We are also offering this class on Thursdays at 11:30am. If you wish to join both classes, you will receive 10% off. When: This class runs Tuesdays from 1:30-2:30pm at North Kildonan Community Centre. This winter session has 7 classes starting on January 6th and ending on February 17th. What: Do you want to have fun while working out with your baby and/or young child(ren)? Each Stroller Fitness class includes cardio drills, strength training, flexibility, pre/postnatal-specific core exercises, and a few movement-based songs for the babies. These classes also provide an opportunity to connect with other parents! There is NO expectation that babies remain in strollers! They can be on play mats, bouncy chairs, car seats, or anywhere they are comfortable. They can also be held or worn in carriers. Who: This is an all-levels class and is perfect for women returning to fitness after baby, for prenatal moms, and for anyone looking to workout with a baby or young child(ren) in tow! Women should be at least 4 weeks postpartum (or 6 weeks for c-sections). Dads and other caregivers are welcome to attend! This class will be taught by Shannon. Instructors are certified group fitness instructors through the Manitoba Fitness Council with pre/postnatal specialization. Shannon is also a local North Kildonan mom! Where: This class meets in the gym at North Kildonan Community Center at 1144 Kingsford Place in Winnipeg. What to bring: Participants are asked to bring their own equipment. Please bring a yoga mat, a set of dumbbells (between 5-8lbs is a good starting weight), and a water bottle. Extra sets of dumbbells will be available to borrow if needed. Also make sure you are wearing athletic footwear and comfortable workout clothes. Payment: This 7 week session costs $106.58 (including tax). Drop-in classes are $17.50.
